Bit of a nutter but seems harmless enough...
Been banned from doing a speaking tour of Australia, refused him a visa! Seems a bit harsh when all manner of crackpot and extremist religious and political types are let in to do likewise.
Ronald will be gutted at this news i expect??

Just looked this up, his name is before the time of my general British awareness.
But as a general rule
We have an incredible tools of scrutiny available to us in this age of information, let bad ideas out into the harsh light of that and they look as ridiculous as they are.
In other words, its awful policy to reinforce the conspiracy of conspiracist by banning them in any way.

I'm not impressed with the argument that when he talks about lizards he is using a metaphor. I think he really believes this stuff.
My guess is that he is suffering from a delusional disorder, which is notoriously difficult to treat.
He could off course know it is all bollocks, and is on a big crusade to amass vast sums of money. I would not bet on that.

Having a proper grasp on reality is important. So those who propagate utter nonsense aren't 'harmless' imo.
For example, we may see 9/11 truthers as 'harmless' but they are normalising absurd beliefs that extreme Islam uses to support their attacks on the west.
